here's some info about the music we play

We play a wide range of music from self penned masterpieces to covers that range from the 1920's through to the noughties. We can adjust our set to include some of your favourites and can adjust the volume down from the volume 11 used for dance sets to a lower setting for start of evening or just sitting around and listening sets.

We can also do subtle background music.... but that's harder for us....it's the drummer really......
and the guitarist ....and the bass player.......

You can click on the image or the navigation bar at the top of the page to be taken to pages where you can listen to some of the songs!

music from the dubious stable
The Front Room Sessions
Some of the classic Dubious covers from over the years. Tracks are Poison Ivy from the 50's, Handle with Care, Come Together, Walk of Life, Proud Mary and Old Time Rock and Roll, this CD will have you up on your feet and dancing around like a Dad.

" a work of sheer genius "                        our mate George

" sublime.....  "                                       my mum

That difficult second album...particularly as we hadn't really done any of our own stuff before. Rather good actually - but don't take our word for it - go and have a listen. Songs about loss of love, alcoholics, prostitutes, teenage parties, killer women - great for those pass the parcel moments at children's parties.......

" wow -it just doesn't get better than this "      a satisfied punter

" 5 STARS - ***** "                                     Bill - the local astronomer

dubious covers from over the years

We play a range of covers that are designed to get you to dance! The repertoire increases along with our ages. From Bananarama through Beatles and Stones to great blues classics. We released an album of covers back in the day called unhinged  - don't ask why, we can't remember.  But we do get lots of feedback on our live gigs, ................

" fantastic "
